Statuary Beautification Project Volunteers Needed

As Snell Isle property owners, I am sure we all care about our neighborhood, our safety and the beauty of our surroundings. One of the best ways to show you care is to become involved and volunteer. That way you can have a direct impact and get a real sense of accomplishment. Presently, we have an ongoing project and are currently in the process of cleaning and painting statues for which Snell Isle has 162 locations. All the 40 planters have already been cleaned, painted and planted but we have lions, panthers and griffins, some of which need primer and paint. Often neighbors ask to “adopt” a statue and spruce up a panther, lion or griffin. Perhaps there is one on your corner, or even on your property that you would like to volunteer to clean and paint.

SIPOA will supply all the materials, including everything you need from written instructions to rags, brushes, paint, gloves, drop cloths and more. This is an important project and we need a good number of volunteers because of all the statues that need to be painted. While our Board is doing all we can to improve Snell Isle, we can’t do it alone and must rely on our friends and neighbors to pitch in.

So, if you are interested in making a difference, and would like to get involved in our Statuary project, or any other project we have going on, please submit your name, and contact information to our communications chairman, Howard Pollack at: This email address is being protected from spambots. To update our membership, I want to give a big shout out to all the volunteers who have already put in much time and effort helping clean, prime and paint our statues. Thank you to all of the following:
