The Holidays on Snell Isle

Your Snell Isle Property Owners Association (SIPOA) has some special events planned in the month of December. We hope all owners will join us for the Annual Holiday Party and Santa in the Park. See flyers below for the details.

Snell Isle neighbor, Kenneth Bashford, provided this drone shot of the professionally installed white holiday lights along the parkway this year. The SIPOA Board wishes all residents a happy holiday season.

Waterway Clean Up - Volunteer Oppty

The CoffeePot Bayou Watershed Alliance (CBWA) does quarterly Clean-up work on Snell Isle, Coffee Pot Bayou and the public waterfront – on land and sea - south to the Dali Museum. With each event, a volunteer “all-call” to 100+ volunteers where the scope of work is outlined which we hope to complete. From Oak St NE to Turtle Creek through Coffee Pot Park down Coffee Pot Blvd and NorthShore Drive to the Dali on the waterfront we utilize motorboats, kayaks, bikers and walkers with volunteers deploying supplies from Keep Pinellas Beautiful that include shovels, rakes, clippers, nippers, buckets, barley bags, etc. to optimize our time and work.

The City supplies a large dumpster where vast amounts of debris collected from the Bayou, Tampa Bay and the sidewalk is collected. With the exception of one landscape contractor partner, it is all volunteer work. This contractor removes from the waterfront a large quantity of Brazilian Pepper, Carrotwood, Silk Floss trees, Reclinata Palms in addition to weeds and vines. These volunteer opportunities provide a perfect opportunity to make some great headway and also cultivate new friendships with like- minded people.

The CBWA’s upcoming Clean-up dates for 2023 are September 9 th and November 4 th (9:00 AM - Noon) and we’d love to have you join us. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for sign-up.

New Palm Trees Installed Along Snell Isle Boulevard

We had eight new palm trees installed along Snell Isle Boulevard in the park in front of the Vinoy this week. Look for more details on the project in the June Panther, but wanted you to know that you are not seeing things...there really are new trees there.

Thanks to all who worked on this project and for those who have joined the Snell Isle Property Owners Association by paying dues (you can join on the Snell Isle website!). That allows us the opportunity to afford to take on beautification efforts like this.
