To: Business Owners and Residents Subject: Miscellaneous Storm Drainage Calculations, Surveys, and Study of Complaints - FY20 Project (City Project No. 20002-110)

The City of St. Petersburg's Engineering & Capital Improvements Department is in the process of acquiring a permit for removal of sediments in Palmera Canal located in the Snell Isle neighborhood, at the intersection of Lamara Way NE and Palmera Blvd NE. Removal of sediment in the section near the outfall is needed to improve the flow capacity of the ditch and alleviate flooding within the neighborhood. Work includes: • Removal of sediments obstructing outfall • Minimal mangrove removal in areas affecting stormwater flow way Construction is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2020 and to be completed within 2 weeks.
