Perry Snell Monument and Lion Updates

Many thanks to our neighbors John Cappa, Josh Buttitta, Doug Ellingsworth and Scott Youngblood for getting the lion statue back atop its base at Toledo and Snell Isle Blvd last week-end. It had been knocked off its base in an accident some time ago and now it sits back on its base as it should! Thanks neighbors, we surely appreciate your help!
Also, as I’m sure you’ve noted the Perry Snell monument in our Parkway that was hit by a car back in mid January is now standing again thanks to the City with repairs made to its corners. The marble raised circle the monument sits atop is still under repair so I’m sure the City would prefer we just observe from afar. We’ll hear more about the additional improvements to that area as time unfolds but it’s certainly nice to see that monument standing again. Appreciation to our City for their quick work on this area!
