As you know, with each day, it seems changes are being made regarding the Covid vaccine appointments. Though it is confusing, there is a huge push to get every possible person vaccinated as soon as possible. With that in mind...
Even if your age group is NOT called for just yet (age 60+ can start getting vaccines starting tomorrow at specific sites), anyone can sign up for alerts about Covid vaccines at https://myvaccine.fl.gov
Even if you are NOT eligible now, sign up to know when your age group is next in line. Everyone over age 16 needs to get on a list for vaccinations as soon as possible. (Pfizer is for age 16 & up, Moderna & J&J for age 18 & up.)
Note: These Florida residents are now eligible to register for the vaccine at www.patientportalFL.com (this site now allows you to sign in and book your appt!)
Anyone 60 and older, (with proof of age; appointments start Monday, March 15th) eligible health care workers (with ID), 50 and older sworn law enforcement, firefighters and K-12 school staff (with ID). Medically vulnerable residents may also get the vaccine with a physician form at select pharmacies and federal vaccine sites - our federal site is at the Tampa Greyhound Track in Tampa at East Waters just off I-275N.
Teachers under the age of 50 may schedule their vaccine appointment at Publix, CVS, Walmart or Sam’s Club, or may go to the Federal Vaccination Site at the Tampa Greyhound Track.
Vaccine supply is limited, and you must be a full-time or part-time resident to be vaccinated in Florida.
